Development of Product Category Rule (PCR) for an Environmental Product Declaration of Conveyor Chain Systems



Environmental Product Declarations are a form of sustainability performance measures, because they provide information about environmental aspects. They are based on results of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which is an international standardized method for the assessment of environmental impacts of products within their life-cycle. By building up a “Reference Conveyor System”, which conveys goods over a length of about 5 meters and includes one L-curve we were able to examine a first Life Cycle Assessment.
