Virtual warehouse simulations for Industry 4.0 scenarios

In this paper we are focusing on applications of virtual reality in logistics, more specific on virtual warehouse simulations as a part of trends in Industrie 4.0 paradigm. Although Industrie 4.0 is currently a top priority for many companies and research centres at universities, a generally accepted
definition not exist. From the literature review we could identify following principles:
interoperability, virtualization, decentralization, real-time capability, service orientation, and modularity. The virtualisation enable the Cyber-Physical systems to monitor physical processes. These sensor data are linked to virtual factory and simulation models. The virtual model of the physical world is created including conditions of all Cyber-Physical systems.
