Energy efficiency calculator model to optimize intralogistics systems

Material Flow Systems (MFS) are core components of intralogistics systems. Optimization of their energy efficiency is an important issue. Research results at the Institute of Logistics Engineering brought to light that most energy efficiency losses occur in drive systems. One reason for these losses is inaccurate selection and dimensioning of the drive system. In order to close this gap and achieve overall efficiency we intend to depict an energy efficiency calculator model (EEC model) that has been worked out, verified and validated using comprehensive state-of-the-art references. The EEC model supports the optimized drive system selection for operation in dynamic load states and contributes to increasing the energy efficiency of material flow systems.

Host city and venue - Vienna

Vienna (Wien) is the federal capital and largest city of Austria, and one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primate city, with a population of about 1.9 million (2.6 million within the metropolitan area, nearly one third of Austria's population), and its cultural, economic, and political centre. It is the 7th-largest city by population within city limits in the European Union.  Read more...
