Abstract: Whether by land or sea, shipping containers are the initial method for transporting all goods worldwide, and thus they present necessary part of all trade transactions. Multicriteria decision making represents an interest area of research since most real life problems have a set of conflict objectives. By means of subjective determination of weighting coefficients, each user is given the opportunity to define the importance of each of the observed criteria. In addition, the developed web application leaves a possibility of analyzing all possible routes, as well as ranking the obtained solutions. The goal of this paper is to find a representative set of Pareto optimal solutions, to quantify the trade-offs in satisfying the different objectives, by finding a single solution that satisfies the subjective preferences of a human decision maker. As a results by minimizing transport costs, transit time and CO2 emissions it was obtained the optimal container transport route.
